Training... Done!

Woke to find a blizzard going on outside! I guess it will be a little while longer until Spring really arrives, not that I mind having lots of new snow to play in! Today marked the end of our training at last. Our final lessons were in Guest Services, and we began with some grounds maintenance with Christoph.... so out we went into the still falling snow and tried to shovel snow off the pathways. the best part was learning how to drive 'Boris', the little snowplough we have onsite. Returning to the warmth of the indoors for lunch was a relief though, and Eve and I had a great time after the meal clearing up and washing dishes with the Moulin Rouge soundtrack playing in the kitchen! We are inspired to change the lyrics of the songs to make Our Chalet 'The Musical'! We've already got some brilliant ideas so watch this space!
Afternoon, we had a session in office training with Suzanne and then a talk about WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) with our World Centre manager Sally.
At dinner some interesting guests arrived, as there will be a World Centre Team meeting over the next few days. I had a nice chat with Sally Elkes, the World Centres Director, who oversees all four (soon to be five!) Guiding World Centres.
After dinner we had a free evening and as we were all pretty shattered, we stayed in Stockli and had a girlie movie night. We watched the movie that I have named my blog for!

No picture for today, but look how pretty the Chalet is!
